This will be fun and you'll are so creative I thought I'd ask here.

Saturday night (14th) we have dance to go to and the theme is SHOWBIZ. Come dressed as a movie star or something. I think I'd like to opt for movie characters as they would be easier than just a star. The problem is that everything I think of, has a blond woman with a dark haired man (Grease, for example) and DH has light hair while mine is dark brown. Well, Cleopatra might work if we invest in some costumes. I'd rather keep this to what we have in our wardrobe for the most part.

So, I'm asking for some ideas like

James Bond and ..... who?
Ripley and Alien???
Harrison Ford and KAren Allen in Raiders of the Lost Ark?? What could we wear?

Colleen - judging by your avatar, you'd have no problem pulling off Sigourney Weaver. :D Though I doubt that he'd want to go dressed as an Alien so that might be pushing it a little.

You could try the James Bond theme for you guys ... he could go dressed in a tux (easy). You could put on a ball gown and be:

a) Xenia Onatopp (Famke Janssen)


or
b) Irina (Minnie Driver)


both from the movie Goldeneye. The majority of Bond girls are blonds so it does cut down your options ...

Masaki, I loved to go as Xenia Onatopp but I seem to be missing two very vital pieces of equipment. LOL.

Karen, Ted and I are leaning to Indy and Marion. Although I'd try to copy her outfit from the bar scene, I think - pants and a button down shirt. I'd get a costume whip for Ted, find him suitable hat, and make a fake medallion thingy. I'd carry a snake and a bottle of booze.

But if anyone has any other ideas, I'm still open to suggestions.

Oooh, I kind of like the Indy and Marion idea as well. And don't sell yourself short, Colleen - I'm sure you could pull off Xenia Onatopp if you wanted to. :)
