I mentioned to my husband a suggestion I read about having the ship pack lunches for us to take to the motu on Bora Bora. Can anyone tell me what kinds of foods they have taken with them from the ship?
Thanks, Jill

We have taken box lunches while on the Voyager and they were yummie.... You can order any thing on the room service menu and they bring it up to you ready to go. Just give them enough time as they are sometimes swamped in the A.M.

Thanks for the menu info. I did read that you should make the request 24 hrs ahead. I think the box lunch may be the plan!
Thanks Jill

Jill - I may be the one you first heard this suggestion from. We've done it 3 times on the the PG; twice for the Bora Bora motu and once when we rented a car on Moorea. Each time we were able to tell them what kind of sandwich we wanted by choosing type of meat, cheese and bread and exactly what we wanted on it (mustard, lettuce & tomato for us). We also chose apples and cookies and bottled water. For the motu you don't really need to worry about something to drink because there is a free bar with everything. One time I selected my own cookies (macaroons) from the lunch buffet the previous day. I kept them in a ziplock bag in our room refrigerator. We always requested our box lunches the afternoon before from our head waiter in La Veranda. You tell him what time they need to be delivered to your cabin in the morning. They will be there earlier than the time you tell them.

Thanks Kathy. I'm going to add "order box lunches" to my spreadsheet. I appreciate the details! This board is just so helpful.

Jill, glad to know I'm not the only one who uses a spreadsheet to plan my cruises!! We may request a box lunch on the Voyager at least once!
