 My Grocery shopping experience today

Well you guys aren't going to believe this, not sure that I do. This morning Frank and I went to our local Whole Foods Market to do some shopping. As we walked in the door, Frank said, "there's a sign saying they are filming today and that walking in the door constitutes your agreement to be on film and you won't be paid". So I went on about my business and was picking up my produce, when I see all of a sudden the filming crew and lots of people, cameras, etc, and they are following this guy with a shopping cart and he walks by and says "Hi" and I said "Hi", then did a double take, it was Emeril Lagasse!! So a few minutes later he comes up to me and starts chatting with me, about am I getting what I needed and what am I cooking for dinner tonight, I told him "Shrimp Cakes" and he says "wow fantastic". A few minutes later a lady comes over to me and asks for my name and tells me I'm going to be on his new show debuting in June on the Discovery Green channel, never heard of it, and asks if thats OK and would I sign a release, which of course I did. Now, we all know, that the chances of me actually being on are slim, I mean they film miles and miles of things and then cut the heck out, but I was excited to have just met Emeril as we watch his show several times a week. Here in Fairfax VA you can run into Emeril Lagasse while doing your weekly shopping!! <img src="http://smileys.sm...Fi%253D7%252F7_1_104/image.gif">

How COOL, JoAnn! We love Emeril! We'll have to be sure to watch the Discovery Green Channel this June. Is there some kind of reminder system on LCT???

Wow I read thru hoping he'd say "can I come over and help you cook them?". Still exciting to have "shopped" with him, tho!
Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry, but by demonstrating that all peoples cry, laugh, eat, worry, and die, it can introduce the idea that if we try and understand each other, we may even become friends ~~M. Angelou~~

LOL -when he said "Wow sounds fantastic" I actually did say to him, "well come on over, dinner is at 6:30". Wouldn't that have been something!!!

I do hope that if your clip survives the cuts they will let you know prior to it's air date and that you can give us all a reminder.

How exciting!
We had dinner at his restaurant in South Beach while he was in town, he cooked our dinner and was very charming. The following year he remembered us when we saw him there.

Hey thanks you'all for your fun and good wishes. It really was a fun morning and I still can't believe it was really Emeril. We also met Sal, one of his sous chefs (sp??)the guy who owns the Pizza place somewhere in New Jersey.
If I get notified when the show will air, I will definitely post it here first!!!
