We need one for the world cruise. I think one for that would cover all the segments or we could do one for the various segments people are on.

We have one suggestion from Karen
WORLD
Wayfaring
On
Radisson for
Lottsa
Days

One from Todd
VJ5-WC

Any more?. How about Dubai to Rome - Lawrence - any suggestions.

I like things like MINT and PIP that make words easier to say. Brilliant ideas please. Fun to see people's creative juices at work.

Oh you guys are clever! Keep 'em coming. So far I like CATTS and POSH both (easy to remember)...all I do is draw a blank. Maybe in a few days we could vote in a poll??

You chose Marcie and Graywolf, you are both on the whole thing. I think POSH and CATTS are really both brilliant.

I'm drawing a blank:

You could call it the: "I'm on a Diet (I OD'd) Cruise."

Or something like: "First of Many World Cruise" (FOMWC)

How about: "Around the World in 107 Days"

Whatever, have fun!

If you call it CATTS, it will be even harder for those of us that are cat lovers not to be cruising with you. So I vote for POSH or RICH, although Marc's ATW isn't bad.

By all means, we can't leave out Graywolf!! For that matter, we shouldn't leave anyone out. Quite a few are doing segments...your opinion counts too!!

No, NO!! Don't leave me out!!! I don't care so much about the name, but please don't let that ship leave without me -- I'd have several hundred pounds of luggage to deal with then!

I guess I like POSH and RICH -- it would be the closest I'll ever be to associating with those terms.

F riends
I deal
T ravellers ? ( could have used Mafia, but there'd be a stink to be sure !!!)

You can't use POSH - some of the people might not have pets... Denise's CATSS is good - covers all.
MAFIT however, is the ideal of choice here in Venice, FL. (I have canvassed absolutely no one in this area, but I know they spiritually support me...)

As the present holder of the Karen cybernetic "Chucky Cheese Memoria Tea Set," I am willing to put this prized memento up for whoever wins the acronym contest for the around the world cruise. I don't know who will be the deciding judge - anyone but John (stealer of identities).

(I think I have waaaaayyyyy too much time on my hands!!!!!!) cheer cheer

Mafia works - the traveling Mafia. Why not? MAFIT sounds like Misfits.
My son's college degree is from a school that is suppose to be the best in the nation in his particular field & the grads refer to themselves as the (name of univ) Mafia.
Now what does your A stand for?

Dear Graywolf,
No slight was intended by previous omission. I thought the exercise was for an acronym for Tom and Marcie and through sheer stupidity left you good folk out! I promise the boat won't sail without you - even if I have to send my retired exsubmarine captain (wife) to delay the sailing!

Sorry for not understanding the scope of the exercise, I remain abjectly yours...

Betty,
I don't agree that Mafit sounds like Misfit. Mafit is an old French expression denoting one of unconquerable beauty - hence the gloriousness of my choice. I refer you to Pierre Guerlain's biography of the queen of France when he says her beauty was "Mafit!" Mafit is pronounced accent grave and sounds like "Mafeet."

IF I were to use MAFIA, however, the a could be "Avalon", "Absent"- they'll be gone a long time! " etc. many more come to mind but I want to leave room for others!

Oh Karen, I had forgotten all about your Chuckie tea set...does this go to the winner of naming the World Cruise??
Denise currently seems to be one of the front runners IMO. You all are so clever! Continue submitting acronyms to be considered (my writer's block kicked in...no help here!) Polls are still open!

Another name for your cruise, Marcie and Graywolf -

BAIL (As in bailing on us, to sail the world!)
(BOY, AM I LUCKY :D )

Now, Marty, if your choice of MAFIA is selected, does this mean upon embarkation you have to give a secret handshake and password to board, and on formal nights, everyone has to wear pin striped suits and carry violin cases? Sorry, I couldn't help myself!

As you can see, I REALLY want that tea set!

Now DENISE that is REALLY good. Pretty lucky to be on a segment or the whole world cruise. Life is pretty good!! I think that is a real front runner right now.

Denise, I like that one a lot too!! We could refer to the entire cruise as BAIL (all of cruise) and various segments as BAIL #1, BAIL #2 etc.

I think I am going to add BAIL in the meantime I just dont see how anything can match that. I also think BAIL then BAIL1 (for the first segment) BAIL 2 for the second segment and then BAIL1234 for 1,2,3,4th segment. That is fantastic. Do I have the power to declare Denise the "winner of the tea set" or do you all want a poll????

Denise,
I see that there is an overwhelming response to your BAIL. With a great graciousness so often lacking in today's world, I concede and will forward to you my "Chucky Cheese tea service."
This tea service has been sitting proudly in our Lladro figurine collection. It adds a certain je ne se qua to the whole presentation. No more tears Martin!! Fair is fair, and as the beautiful Karen says "I have the real thing - what more could I want!"

So Denise, the tea service is yours!! Don't for a minute believe I'm being a bad sport when I say the Graemlins reflect my true attitude...

Your selection of BAIL has been the highlight of my day! Thanks, one and all!

Sheik, I thank you for your gracious concession. Rest assured, I will take fine care of the coveted Chucky Tea service. It will be placed in an undisclosed location, amid my other treasures. I see from your interesting choice of Graemlins, that I am to feel your pain. Defeat is not a pretty picture!

Not only does Marcy have BAIL (boy am I lucky),also, as Denise has said she had "BAIL"ed out of having the rest of us join her. She found a "BAIL" of money to finance it, and she and Tom are able to "BAIL" out of reality to enjoy it. They will have a "BAIL" of fun! Hopefully she will share it with us from onboard!

Denise,
I hope you enjoy your spanking. I have packed up the tea service, and will ship it tomorrow freight collect. I've been told that these charges are substantial Fl to Ca, so don't be shocked when Chucky Cheese apprears on your doorstep. The Saint said I should pay for the freight charges, but I said "what the hell, let 'em eat cake!" don't know how this applies to collect freight charges, but it lets me prove what a poor loser I am!!!! So enjoy your present and remember where you got it from, honey!!!

Freight collect? And to think, I was going to invite you out to CA (paying for your airfare, of course, being the appreciative "giver" that I am) for tea, served in the Chucky Cheese Tea Service!
