Oh, and one other thing - here in Switzerland lots of people hang their duvets out of the bedroom windows every morning to air them. We don't, but we do have winter and summer duvets (different amounts of feathers) and so when we change them we send the winter ones off to the laundry where they get washed and dried. Reverse procedure in the autumn! Duvet covers just get laundered like sheets and pillowcases...
