I highly recommend the silk duvets you can buy in China, and probably now over the internet. We went to a silk factory and watched the ladies pulling one strain of silk after another over a frame to make them. They are incredibly light weight, warm in the winter and cool in the summer.

We bought ours in 2001 and it is no worse for wear - and I love how they were already touting "green" products back then.
