Sounds excellent! DeLaVille Inter. is wonderful, all updated rooms. To watch the people at the spanish steps at night is fun, as is Piazza Navona and the Trevi fountain. I would echo others in seeing the Vatican, or actually St. Peters.
Restaurants sound wonderful also. Not that I have been to very many far flung place yet, but I love Rome the most!
