Very sad Jim. It is amazing to me what this has done to our world. Our local Red Poppy festival has been cancelled as well. Not to mention the Olympics, Wimbledon, etc. the business you don’t even think about like housekeepers, etc. Marc and I are doing well, going on 4 weeks isolation now, but I must admit I watch and read news sparingly theses days as too much news makes me so emotional. Some countries, ours included have had 1,000 deaths a day! That is like 3 or 4 major airline crashes in one day. I see the pictures of the temporary hospitals set up with beds six feet apart. As bad as being in the hospital is, that would be even worse in my opinion. Seeing those temporary hospitals and knowing those patients cannot even have a family member with them, just beyond heartbreaking. Just thinking of it is enough to keep me isolated at home as that is most certainly not the way I want to go!
Anyone else struggling with just the enormity of it all?
Editing to add, yesterday the coved deaths for the world were 5,997. In one day! One day! Yes I know we probably loose that many in one “regular†day the world over , but this is from one cause, not every cause. Just staggering to contemplate.
