Andi, I agree with your approach. It is medical and medical evacuation that are our primary concerns. Of course, we have parents in their 80s so we are concerned we might need to cancel ahead of time for that. Therefore, we do tend to also pay for cancellation.
If we had no parents alive, we would probably opt for a medical and evacuation policy only. When we lived overseas and had medicl good world wide, we did decide to not putchase insurance on a couple of trips.
