Oh, our deaf driver did talk nonstop; we had asked for a few-hour driving 'overview' because we couldn't check in as early as we got off the ship. The problem was that he talked about a lot of stuff that I didn't care about and I couldn't steer him to the topics I did care about. But that's okay. We have three more days here and Mark says we can come back next year for a few days. That trip wouldn't have to be as closely scheduled as a return trip to Scotland, because he wants to see Tatoo there.
Suzie, I just spent about an hour and a half wandering the Food Halls in Harrods; I've never seen so much chocolate in my life (you can tell I'm a chocoholic) It's just down the street from where we are staying and I'm going back again to actually spend money. We ate at the "fish 'n chips" counter there. After eating fish 'n chips in Hyde Park for lunch. I may be close to being fished out.
We are here until Sunday, have a tour to ancient places planned for Friday. Tomorrow, I think we will do the hop-on, hop-off bus so that we can do some things we had said we wanted to do. Saturday will be shop and get stuff ready to ship home. The hotel concierge said they have a lot of boxes and wrapping stuff, so they will Fed Ex what I want shipped.
Oh, and one little trip back to Voyager. Granted, we didn't eat in Compass Rose every night. But, on the nights we did, which included both formal nights...on the little tiered tray after dinner, I never. saw. one. single. truffle. I forgot to mention that on the comment card, I think. There were cookies, and little fruit things. No truffles. That's sad.
