Richard, we've also been to Aruba several times, it's one of our favorite places. I agree with Dena, skip the all-inclusive. The restaurants in Aruba are wonderful and enjoying them is a big part of the fun in going there. Otherwise, it's water sports/horseback riding, etc or shopping during the day, and restaurants, casinos and nightlife at night. The Divi resort is on the only decent golf course in Aruba --it's really a very nice resort--out on the end of the island, but not too far from the downtown shopping area. I'm sure the resort will also have activities you may want to participate in. You may want to rent a car or a jeep, at least for a couple days. Otherwise, there's pretty good taxi service wherever you want to go.
