Peggy, I had to read through a lot of fighting and bickering to get to that post, lol. It sounds like the Regent air department really had a busy and tough weekend!

Thanks for posting Peggy. FDR has the pulse of both Oceania and Regent CC's threads--hard to believe for a very busy (extraordinarily successful) cruiseline CEO.

I really only "skim" posts on CC, on the rare occasion that I visit. But bravo, FDR. CC often leaves me saying, some people have WAY too much time on their hands!

Had a lovely chat with Frank Del Rio on the telephone. He completely understands my point of view. It was good to be able to talk things over.

Below is a copy of Frank Del Rio's response after our telephone conversation. I'm posting this here since his original post from CruiseCritic is the subject of this thread.
Subject: The Phone Call
-------------------------------------------------
I did ask TRAVELCAT2 to call me as oftentimes, communicating via text/e-mail one's intent is lost or misinterpreted.
I was glad we chatted.
She has the best of intentions, both from the traveller's perspective and for the cruiseline. I urged her to continue "taking us to task", as I find these Boards to be the best unfiltered forum for us to learn what guests are really thinking and really experiencing onboard our wonderful ships.
It seems today we'll be able to get a good number of folks who have been stranded in Venice and in Barcelona (Oceania's Insignia) home. Probably won't be until friday that everyone gets home, but I can't think of many other places I'd rather be stranded than Venice and Barcelona.
I want to again thank TRAVELCAT2 for her dedication to these boards, and to everyone who is so passionate about cruising and Regent Seven Seas in particular.
All the Best FDR

Jackie, I hope you don't think the subject of this thread was about you! I think it was meant as a source of info about rerouting Regent passenger's flights and how hard they are working on getting people to and fro.

Karen, I know the thread wasn't about me. However, the first line of FDR's post was extremely critical of me. That is the reason I contacted him yesterday. After speaking with him, he wanted to do a follow-up post. Just didn't want to leave people with the thought that I am writing posts that are not truthful. Some information I post is second hand. . . . in the case of the allegations that Regent was doing nothing. . . . I unfortunately passed along really bad information. Jackie
