Ana Luisa - thanks for the update. I figured as much but I believe in being overprepared (funny, I was never a Boy Scout). I'm REALLY prone to motion sickness though - couldn't get into a moving vehicle for the life of me when I was a kid without getting sick. Luckily, I'm getting better as I get older - but still small boats do it to me every time. Cruise ships have been OK so far but I've been way too paranoid to go without using medications yet.

Masaki,

Almost hate to give the plot away, but part of the reason I got so queasy is that I did a lot of imbibing than I had done in the last 3 1/2 years (I've been either pregnant, having a baby or nursing two girls since April 2001). I had the welcome glass of champagne. Then I had a cosmo in our suite (before the mustering). Then I had another glass of champagne at the sail away. Then I had another cosmo at pre-dinner cocktails we hosted in our suite...by the time we went down to compass rose and I started reading the menu, I just felt green, in great part due to the hightened sensitivity to the ship brought on by all the drinking! I don't really drink (a glass of wine at dinner, maybe a cocktail before) but the excitement of being on this cruise and having Peter all alone to myself just clouded my judgement! So, I've learned my lesson!

Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry, but by demonstrating that all peoples cry, laugh, eat, worry, and die, it can introduce the idea that if we try and understand each other, we may even become friends ~~M. Angelou~~

So I will assume your judgement will tell you to have more  - not less.

Todd - how'd you find out what cabin you're in already??

Ana Luisa - I agree with Betty - the best cure for feeling nauseous or hangovers is to drink some more. :)

We've been upgraded to #932....not sure if I'm happy about that or not?? confused We're now port side. I kind of liked our original location (#755)....near an elevator. I'm not one who sees the benefit of being higher up just to be higher up with the exact same cabin. Are most now on deck 8 like Suzanne,Sheri and Todd? On VOF and DDD I always felt like most of us were together and I liked that...nice and cozy!

I just got upgraded to 902 on the Chocolate cruise & don't think I am happy about it either. I would rather be back on deck 6, but paying for an H instead of a G category. I guess I need to call & see if it can be changed. BTW - so glad you are bad. We all missed you & our hearts went out to you.

We've been upgraded to 835 and my mom has been upgraded to 942. They both seem like nice rooms. More space for Cosmo parties in our room!

Marcie, I think you've got a point here. I ended up on Deck 9 on DDD and definitely felt like I was "missing out" on the fun. Well, then again I was about 10 paces away from the Club so it made stumbling home in various states of inebriation a lot easier. My shoes were also safe as well... ;)

Marcie,

You ended up with a THREE catagory upgrade!!

It would be more fun if you could join the troublemakers (I'm including you Todd! ) on deck 8!! But aren't Lawrence and Bill and Nancy (and of course Jim) on deck 9?

Or maybe Marcie's wasn't booked as an H guarantee? Maybe she was a G?

No, we were in a G assigned cabin from the get-go (no H guarantees left when we booked). As Tom says, "I'm a Nester" which is his way of saying I like the warm fuzzies of being near all of you!! Shoe safety is the price you pay if you're a "Nester"!

Besides us, is anyone else on Deck 9?? confused If Ngaire doesn't strangle me, I may look into downgrading to Deck 8.

1st - Marcie, I see that several posts up I said I was glad you were bad. Of course (????) I meant back. Or was it a freudian slip of the typing fingers.

Remember everyone he & Jamie already beat me to the camel. Boo Hiss. But I bet I get on the bucking horse in LV before he does. Todd, the gauntlet is down.

Everyone seems to be moving around and we're no different.

We are now in 831. We downgraded from a "B" to a "C", lost a butler, but saved a bundle of money!

Hear ye, Hear ye !

Be it advised that the Knights will be occupying
Suite 925. WARNING, WARNING !! It is now official, and be prepared to pillage, plunder and patty-cake the whole voyage. All harem members on full alert!! Jewelry shopping - here we come!!
Or in the words of my most beautiful, but currently non-harem member, wife - ACHTUNG !!
(She has been kicked out of the harem temporarily for back-talking- can you imagine that?)

We are so glad we will be able to see all our old friends again, and to meet new ones too.

Just so you know about half are on 9 and half are on 8 so both decks will be equally nuts with the LCT group along. I did a count today and I think we are 45 now. This will be the largest LCT/CC group yet.

I think we need to have another "dinner" in La Verandah like we did on VOF. It looked like a wedding reception so Denise and Alan acted as bride and groom, the were the longest wed as I recall. Who will be the sitting at the prime spot at the table and be the bride and groom, perhaps we should make it the NEWEST wed this time.

WOW! 45 people???? We need some more cabin numbers on the other thread as we only have 33 showing. This is bigger than VOF or DDD!

I am delighted to announce that my Aunt Ruth has booked MINT. I could not be more pleased.

Aunt Ruth has sailed Radisson many times. In fact, she disembarked the Navigator only three days ago and in true swabbie tradition, had to immediately book another. Don't you just know that feeling? She introduced me to Radisson and we sailed together on the 11/02 Mariner transat crossing.

Aunt Ruth is in her mid-80's and I can only hope to be as active as she when I am her age. She is an avid-to-rabid bridge player by day. By night she tears up the disco, dancing circles around much younger folk. She says everything that pops into her head, loves to laugh, and doesn't take 'no' for an answer. She's been a second mother to me and I am lucky to be related to her.

She does not have a computer and is having a hard time understanding how it is that I can have friends I've never met before. I think that once she sees you all, she'll just forget about that puzzling matter and raise her Cosmo to your good health.

She'll be in 838.

MarnaLou
