I asked about Pam & Mark being in 631 (based on the listing in this thread), but was assured that cabin is available. In looking at past messages, I'm wondering if they are in 631 for the Jan. 15 Mariner referenced in "Mariner ABC."

Pam, thanks for making 631 available !!!

Better be careful about that LCT Party Central invitation -- may need to warn your neighbors. OR, any chance of an LCTite reserving 900 to double the fun?

We were in 901 the last time we were on Navigator; late November/early December. Mark was on his pre-surgical diet and I was absolutely exhausted after several months of Rich's illness, so we were really boring for our butler. If we happen to have the same butler, what a change he will see!!! The living room/dining room will easily accomodate all of us, I think.

I can vouch for Pam and Mark's cocktail parties! Better than CR and what a view. Their butler made the best chocolate martini I've ever had. cheer

Welcome, Steve and Judy! Looks like we may have an all-LCT Deck 6 (at least on the starboard side of the hallway).

I noticed that before our cruise next year that the Navigator arrives in Ft Lauderdale on March 6 and there is a gap before our cruise leaves on March 11

Does anyone know if the gap is a Charter or a scheduled Dry Dock?

I'm almost sure it's a charter, and then the cruise (or two) after ours are charters, too.

FYI
Jan just booked us at the Embassy Suites on 17th street for March 10th in case anyone might be interested in knowing that.

Jim,

Did Jan book Embassy Suites via their website (which showed the best "flexible" rate at around $300)?

For anyone that has starpoints there are a lot of options, Sheraton/St. Regis/W hotel/Atlantic Hotel, all within a short cab ride to the port.

Yes, we used points to stay at the Sheraton Yankee Trader before our March cruise. "Adequate" for a one-night stay, but "BRILLIANT" because we paid with points.

How's the Atlantic? I may consider using points.

The Atlantic is Great! they always take really good care of us there, we stayed there 3 times last winter. You will get an upgrade also being SPG Gold. 12000 points I feel is a deal to stay at this hotel with the amenities they offer.

We will book there Frank as we have SW points and I know you enjoyed your stay very much! You are the one who told me to book Grande Bretagne so I know you give good advice. J

Frank, The Atlantic for 4,800 points + $90 looks like a good deal, too. Always trying to maximize those points.

Luke, It is a fantastic deal, especially at this property, the only thing about Cash & Points that you have to be careful about is they do not have to guarantee bed type! but I believe the Atlantic is either 2 Queens or 1 King, the great thing about this place is the type of Suites they have and the upgrades they can offer, even if its only for one night. Also its massive Spring break time in FLL at this time, so it does not surprise me they are offering Cash Points.

I used cash + points during three mileage runs to Germany this year and it worked well .... on those trips it was the "best value" of the points.
