Hi everyone! We are using Radisson Air to our Diamond B2B on June 20. Here is my question. We arrive in Itstanbul at 12:15. Obviously some fortunate people will already be boarding when we get to the airport. How does it work with Radisson transfers? Do we wait on some sort of bus, while others arrive, or do they have to wait for us. I know this may sound stupid, always arranging our own air, we just jump in a cab. Should we just get a cab to expedite arrival at the ship? Thanks to all the experts once again. Also, if anyone knows how long it is to the ship........ yes, we will be anxious to get on the ship, as you can well imagine. Thanks Cindy

While we've not been to Europe on RSSC, we've found there is always someone at the Airport to greet and direct us. Your docs will give you the info so you will know who is meeting you and how to get to the ship.

Hi Cindy,
Usually Radisson contracts with a local ground transfer agency. These people will have a Radisson sign in hand and notice your Radisson luggage tags. On our last cruise, the local person had our luggage on a cart and was waited for us at the carrousel. If you have your document holder in hand, they can usually spot you. They will get you on a bus, cab or limo and take you to a hotel or directly to the ship, depending on your time of arrival.
We leave in 6 weeks for our Diamond 7/5 cruise. Can't wait!!!

I don't know where the ship docks, but the Istanbul airport is about 30-45 minutes from the center city. Have a great trip! Istanbul is a very interesting, exotic place to visit. I hope you enjoy it very much. Cheers, Anne

Thanks everyone, for some reason i had this vision of this giant bus, filled with tired people just waiting for us. Sorry forgot for a minute who i'm dealing with, they would never do that. Beth, you will be getting on as we get off!! Our first 2 week cruise outside of Renaissance to Tahita several years ago. (Oceana now). We are nearly speechless we are so excited, and i'll bet cruise docs will be here this week!!! thanks as always. Cindy

The buses leave consistently during the day to transfer people to the ship. That being said it can happen that you have to wait a while on the bus if there is another flight due in. Normally this is not an issue. It is about a 30 minute ride. You can always jump a taxi if you decide to do that. I have done that from time to time.

Hi Cindy,
Sorry I will miss you. As I will miss Sue (sundial). We are getting off as she is getting on.
Enjoy your cruise. We are looking forward to our first Diamond cruise.
