Sailed the Voyager in Dec and really enjoyed my second time on this fine vessel. My friends who accompanied me sailed on the Mariner to Alaska last Summer and then with me on the Voyager and are hooked. Well all they heard all week long was the PG......and want to go. Question...is there any down side to a March 2007 sailing? My cruise on the PG was Sept and the weather was great. Should we go March 2007 or stick with a Sept 2007 sailing either of which fits our calendar. In the meantime I am cheating on Radisson with a Feb 2006 sailing on the Oceania Insignia and a Nov 2006 Transatlantic on the Crystal Serenity. I will hold my head in shame, but decided to try these 2 very different lines to see how they are. Happy New Years. Tom

Tom,
The only small downside is that it might be hotter and more humid. I've never been in the fall, so can't compare, but I've been twice near the end of May, and once in early April, and the April trip was definitely hotter and muggier. I would imagine March would be even more so.
This doesn't mean much when you're on the ship, of course, except that you might find breakfast or lunch at the Grill too hot.
I believe it's supposed to be the rainy season as well, but that's a crapshoot in FP, you never can tell. It's also the time when RSSC sometimes has its "summer in Tahiti" specials, so you might get a better deal as well.

Hi Tom,
We've been on the PG in June, the last week of August and the first week of September - all of which were great. Wendy is correct about what you would possibly find in March as she relayed what has been reported by numerous posters.
Are you the same Captain Tom as used to be in Greenland or do I have you confused with someone? Do we no longer have anyone who can post Jeopardy results ahead of time? (If the show is even still on the air.)
Glad to hear you are enjoying your cruises.

Tom,
We did a b2b in February 2003. The first week it rained nonstop in Moorea. The rest of the time was not bad. Fortunately, we had the second week, which was very nice throughout. Perhaps some intermittent showers. It was never uncomfortably warm for breakfast or lunch. It was humid, however. My guess would be that September is likely to have a higher probability of good weather. However, our experience clearly didn't bother us very much because we are going back for a 10-day cruise this February after the PG is refurbished in January. Be glad to answer any other questions.

Tom,
We went on the PG Oct. 2005 and the weather was wonderful! Sunny and not humid at all. Just some more info for you!
