I was thinking of making a door sign for our upcoming cruise but I was wondering if this is appropriate when there will only be about 6 or 8 of us from this board on the cruise. Also, are the doors on the Voyager metal? Should I bring magnets or tape for the sign? Or should I make a hang tag for the door knob/handle?

Can you tell I'm getting really excited here?

Tell me which cruise, who is going, what names you want and I will send you them. I already have a template. Just use two sided tape to hold them up.
I like to walk the halls and see the signs, no matter how many or few.

Unfortunately, Colleen will be getting off in Los Angeles as we're getting on but I can be in charge of giving them out as new LCT "segment" passengers get on....

Colleen, I have been giving it serious thought but don't know enough about the hallways onboard Voyager. Are the doors recessed enough from the walking area so no one would trip? I wouldn't want to injure anyone. We can always go shopping in Key West for anything we couldn't fit in our suitcases.

Paul, how many trunks are you bringing? I read your post about that but I forget what you said. I think I would avoid the welcome mat. Don't they occassionaly have to wheel carts and things up and down the halls? Let's stick with decorations. Goodness, you'd have to change your mat every few weeks as the seasons change until April, right?

Paul...some friends of ours always bring twinkle lights to put in their window during the holidays. Of course that involves an extension cord etc, but none of that takes up too much room in the luggage!

Now, I'm wondering if it would be better to mail them to Paul since he will be on the pre-cruise as well as the entire world cruise. (we board here in LA). What do you think Paul?

John, I'll be off the ship before Marcie gets on (Bummer, I want to meet her). I'm willing to distribute all the pre cruise signs if you want to send me them. I think there are 4 cabins of us on the precruise.

You can send them all to me IF I can hand off to Paul who will hand off to Marcie.

Colleen, this works too! You can leave the ones for those of us boarding in LA at the Purser's desk for me to pick up and distribute. We don't board until sometime after noon (we're being driven from St. Regis so have no idea of when we'll be picked up?). I too would have loved to meet you!

Colleen, I have a total of 10 suitcases. 4 footlockers, 3 regulars suitcases and 3 carry-ons. I still don't have enough room to bring everything I need. I may have to start leaving stuff home!. I won't bring any welcome mats. The door signage will be great. Let me know what you all want me to do.

Marcie suggested John send them to me and I distribute the 4 for the precruise then leave the rest at the purser's desk for Marcie. How's that sound to everyone?
