While I was on the Voyager I got an email from Clay they wanted to buy a new house they saw while filling in time driving around between baseball games for their son. I love his current house so I was surprised.

Now it is two weeks later and his house has sold and his new house is purchased. Talk about speedy!!. He takes possession of his new house on August 19th.

So that means a new venue for our RODEO party on Saturday, October 17th

This is in PROSPER Texas about 10 minutes further north than his current home.

I have not seen the inside of the home yet but it is on a 1.2 acre lot and I have seen the outside. A massive yard. We are thinking of a putting up a big tent in the yard for the tables for dinner. More space than we had at Clay's other home where we had to eat in shifts. We are not sure whether to have the Casino upstairs in the house or another "Las Vegas" tent. Wonder what the neighbors will think about the "new people" on the street with a giant party and Big Blue smoking away cooking all that barbeque!

Something new is always fun. The house will of course be open for everyone to wander though I hear it is really nice!

He is in the house now - or at least he owns the house now.

HUGE yard we definitely are getting a giant tent and will have the dinner and the casino in the tent. Hopefully a nice night but we will get a tent with sides, windows and lights. It wont be cold in October and unlikely to rain.

Kind of fun to do the tent and unusual to have that much room to be able to do that. Probably a 60 x 40 tent - 2400 sq.ft. To be all able to sit in the same area at the same time will be something we have not been able to do before. This also gives us more room so if anyone else wants to come we can accommodate you now. In my house for HO-Down it was so full the house was overflowing. For Hee Haw I saw people eating in Clay's bathroom.

The house will be totally open of course and probably at that time not fully furnished but places to sit.

At this time Jason Montague the President of Regent is scheduled to attend barring any unforseen circumstances. I have met him once and was really impressed so I hope he does make it. I think you will enjoy visiting with him.

Roll on October 17th we are looking forward to seeing everyone.

Karen, I'm so excited to see you!!! Just an FYI for anyone arriving at DFW airport and not renting a car -- Uber is now available at the airport, and it is very easy. We used it recently for the first time. If you download the app onto your phone, you can order a car after you pick up your baggage. Go outside baggage claim and across the first roadway to the middle island where the overhead sign says "limosine or contract drivers" or something similar, and that's where Uber will pick up. It's not the taxi line. When we ordered our Uber car, it was there within 6 minutes, the car was clean, driver nice and overall a great experience -- and half the price of a taxi to our home. When you set up the app you can choose to enter a credit card or pay through Paypal. The entire process was really easy!

Updating to say I just checked price on UberX (regular size car) from DFW Airport to the Westin Stonebriar Hotel, and it showed $31-39.

Great advice, Priscilla! I have always wanted to try Uber and now is as good as time as any! Downloading the app now.

Karen, you should be able to get a credit of $20-$25 for your first ride. Search for promo codes. We love Uber!

We love Uber and use it here and recently a few times in NYC. The tip is included in the price but when we have luggage we always tip extra. You rate them and they rate us as customers like eBay. After your ride they'll email you your receipt. It's all about traveling without transacting with cash.

Karen, if you can't find a promo code for $20 off your first Uber ride, let me know. I can search back and find an email to send you for the discount. Marcie, you would get five stars in every driver rating, I have no doubt!
