Hmmm, can we have BEARS 1 and BEARS 2? I don't want to hijack a Roll Call with names on it.

Seems like an issue our leader needs to decide.

It is not normal but what if BEARS was left alone and the Northwest Passage cruise was just called "northwest passage"

Could make for an interesting pin using map of that part of the world.

Cannot put all those words "Northwest Passage" on a pin.

Let use BEARS for the Northwest Passage we want to see a lot of them and get a new name for the June 27, 2014 Arctic cruise.

That is the name for the Tromso to Longyearbyen cruise. We should start a new roll call for PAWS

I notice that Silversea has removed mention of an included charter from Copenhagen to Kangerlussuaq. It had been included under the Voyage Highlights.

That makes Silversea air an even better deal; $1800 including the trip on Air Greenland from Copenhagen.

Ngaire, what are the Silversea "deviation" costs? Also, can we wait to see what air they choose for us before choosing to deviate?

There never was a charter flight on this sailing, any mention was probably simply copied from a previous voyage. I checked that directly with Silversea initially.

If the airfare does include air all the way to Kangerlussuaq that would be great. Last time I checked with Silversea deviation cost was $100 per person, things always change and I have been gone for 5 weeks so I will have to check to confirm.

YES you can wait to see what is assigned but then the better itineraries with fewer connections are often not available. The whole point of the deviation (if you are not changing dates) is to book early for a better itinerary.

Will check on whether the air is to Kangerlussuag, and the deviation fee and post here for all to see.

The airfare quoted is from the USA gateway to Kangerlussuaq and then from Nome back to the USA gateway.

Air deviation fee is still $100 per person.
