Delighted to hear Franc is onboard he is wonderful to work with and I always hope he is on when I am coming to the Mariner. If you see him in the hallway Jim, tell him Ngaire and Ken are on their way!

Bon Voyage Ngaire and Ken - safe travels and have a wonderful cruise. :bv: I'm sure the group already onboard are looking forward to your arrival along with everyone else.

the visit to Cape Horn went well with sunny skies & fairly calm waters and we were able to completely circle the island. It was interesting to see the island at sunset compared to sunrise in 2007. ushuaia was cold but sunny and the stop was way too short for such an interesting location. Today's visit to the Chilean fjords began overcast and alternated between light rain and fog. In the afternoon the sun came up and the wind increased to over 70 kts on our way to Punta Arenas.

Today is John Barron's birthday and some special fun at his expense is planned for the begining of the evening show. Lindsey & Luke will come on board in Sydney and stay for a month.

This morning Capt Phillipe took us to Iceberg Glacier at the recommendation of the pilots. It's Regent's first visit here and the view was spectacular with a lot of deep blue color in this tidewater glacier.

Staff speculation is that there will be approx 350 guests on Koala, about 50% of the ship's capacity. During the 23 days we'll set our clocks back a total of 10 hours and there will be a 5 day stretch where the clocks turn back every night.
