Pam, bargain pricing but limited sizes on the clothes. Crystal did snag a lounging pant and top set for some stral and I bought some Cartier sunglasses on the cheap. Beth got the cutest ring.

Beth and I went to Atlantis. I played roulette and video blackjack. We took a lot of snaps over there. Cab was 4 each but they wait to fillo a van. With RCCL sitting next to us, it was easy enough.

Donna was one lucky thing. She and her husband were winning in the casino before bingo, so I hope she cashed out.Beth and I saw her at Atlantis on a mad dash to play in the 20 min they were stopped on their tour.

Lunch was the Tex Mex buffet that was neither Tex or Mex but the company was good.

We ended up using all 16 seats at our 3 table since we met people along the way - a singer, dancer, and two fun couples.

After dinner - went to the Beatlemania party, though I saw no LCTers there or at the disco after.

After a heavy photo session with all the fun girls I had been dancing with for 3 nights and a ton of hugs, I saw Donna in the casino and stayed in there til one and lost 60. Before that I was down only 8 for the cruise.

The sunrise here in FLL was beautiful and still is. I am keeping my tradition of keeping my cabin till kickout time and then will proceed to breakfast.

Some of us have flights abot the same time, and others are a little later.

Sue has been packing a stellar camera, so I hope we are going to see some of those picks.

When I was on Voyager, trivia was 24 questions except one day where she did 20.

Portofinos was fun. I was not fond of the food and did not eat much. It was high quality and most enjoyed. The entertainment was a do not miss, and the atmosphere was incredible in there.

Do book Portofinos online in advance if you want to go or you won't get in.

I did promise Wes he would see my bad review of the pool deck service. Six of us sat there for 4 hours, and we got our own drinks for the whole table and carried them over each time and I bused the table myself with glasses from 2 rounds. It did not wreck my good time in any way, and it was even fun waiting on ourselves. It was just worth a mention.

The girls tell me there are a lot of postings to catch up on when we get back. I did not biy any minutes, and the Blackberry is a better email friend than it is a surfer friend.

I get back to Houston at 1:30 my time and hope to analyze my pics. We had a lot of lct pics. I hope everyone posts them.

At 1 am, I unhappily took down my sign. Thankd to Beth for the laminated signs. I felt special everytime I came to my suite.

We are home and reality hit as soon as I logged on the computer - clients needing me while I was gone (I left my laptop at home this time and I guess that was a big mistake - we all deserve a real vacation from work every now and then). :)

I have to get some things done around the house and unpack before I catch up on LCT. I have a lot of pics that I will post on the photo site soon.

We had a GREAT time with every LCT'er - all such wonderful and friendly people. Dinner last night in Portofino's was quite an experience and our tablemates of Wes/Ida with our friends Mike/Donna were wonderful company. The rest of the LCT gang was over a table or two and we would check on each other every now and then. ;)

At trivia yesterday our team was; Beth, Diane, Tom, Mike and myself - we didn't win, but we came in 2nd place and got tokens!!! :lct:

P.S. we booked segment 6 of the Discovery Collection in suite 621 - not sure we will actually be there or have to cancel...it will depend upon where things stand with our new home we will be building.

Debbie, sorry we missed you at the farewells this morning. What a great time we had! Never got to the Beatles thing last night. Spent some time donating money to RSSC at the casino, then this partier pooped the party and went back to pack.

Uneventful trip home, except for the rather loud group on the plane from an RCL cruise. Made me appreciate our little fun bunch all the more.

Back to reality tomorrow, alas.

This morning, I had breakfast with Adrian, the lady that Beth met at the RDU airport. We had a very interesting conversation about her business ventures with her ebooks and other things she does.

Said goodbye to Sue and Donna.

Then I ran into Diane, and she sat patiently while I got my act together, and then we shared a cab to the airport. There were lots of people outside waiting for this and that, and it looked scarey that we might wait forever for a cab. However, most were waiting for shuttles and other things, and we got about the 4th cab.

I've been looking at my pics, and I really miss the cruise already.

Looks like we all posted simultaneously. Somehow, that seems fitting. Sue, I hope you and Tom can make that DC segment. It would be great to cruise with you again.

I seem to be really tired now. Five trips in a row (2 land and 3 cruises) has been a bit much. In addition to work, I am going to have to get around to some Christmas cards and things. Somebody sent me the cutest crocheted ornament that I can't even describe. This girl works many hours at her job. I don't know where she found the time.

Ida participated in the show last night. I was behind a pole and didn't see some of it. Adrian played tamborines.

The show in there really is good, and those people seem to love putting it on.

My table for 4 had the best seats, but I gave that up to our new friends. It was so funny because one of them, Calvin happened to just point at the table during his conversation when they were trying to find the prospective recipients of an anniversary cake. So his wife Colleen got into this cake that arrived and blew out the candle. I made the comment at our table that they weren't even booked in and how did he arrange that cake when he never left and they never left the pool deck all day. In addition, I said I didn't think it was their anniversary. He told the waiter it wasn't, and the cake was snatched up. Funny thing, is they said it was intended for the person that was supposed to sit there. That was me, so it was too wierd. Also, the person that said it is the person I told to give them my table.

Anthony and Paige, I hope you will come back and post a pic since most of us never knew who you were. I understand you were having a great time, so that is wonderful.

I don't know how people stand cold weather. I remember a few bad years in the few I lived in cold weather, but I do like a white Christmas.

I did not make time to see the CC, and she was not in or not alone anytime I stopped by. I may have to change my mind on not liking the 2008 itins. I don't think we would have minded much where we were as long as it was warm and fun.

PS..echo what Crystal says about more 3-4 day cruises and on board discount potential--we scored about $1100 on board discounts for Voyager in 08 and Mariner in 09! Browne and Keene's on board letters simply made it turnkey--just hand to the cruise consultant and a day or two later your onboard discount letter is placed on your cabin door.

I finally made it home. Got an earlier flight out of FLL yesterday and hung out with my mom last night and ran errands with her this AM. Also went and used my 50% off coupon at Chico's... got a new top for DC. Love those 50% coupons!!

No-Name was so much fun. I truly enjoyed getting to know everyone better. Crystal and I decided we might be able to get along for 71 nights. :app:

Three nights was just too short. Like Wes and Crystal, I put in a plug on my comment form for more 4 nighters while ships are in FLL. It does put a strain on the housekeeping staff, but what a great way to have a Regent getaway over the weekend.

Victor, are you onboard yet? Hope you got out. We talked briefly with Darrel and he laughed about the "shopping for pigs" story.

Thanks everyone for making this a wonderful cruise. Enjoyed meeting each and every one of you. Going now to look at Sue's pics. I'll post mine later.

I was a real trooper with my jetlag from India and managed to stay up and close the Stars Lounge every night. I loved getting to know everyone, and in addition to also gaining the 4 friendships Wes mentioned with Stuart/Stephanie and Callen/Coleen (I have now studied their business, and come to find out, my outside agent from Algiers, La. actually knows the family, as does his mother), I also gained friendships with Diane and Adrien, and we also had some conversation with Scott from CC that Beth knew and his business partner, Joe. I also spent a lot of time with 6 or 8 peps up in Stars, and I was so sad to say goodbye to them.

I loved the shortie because everyone maxed it, and it also lowered the demo down to the 40 to 60 range for the most part.

Debbie, So glad I had a chance to meet you and spend time with you on the ship and in ports. You were a real trooper coming off those other cruises and staying up to get the full benefit of the Navigator experience. I was the party pooper - in the cabin by 12:00 more nights. Now I hope you can rest up some. Have you posted your pics yet?

I have been lightening some of the dark ones, etc. and I came home with lots of business issues like Sue did.

Sue, only 4 1/2 years! You look better than ever, dahling! Perhaps life does begin at (that age)! It was great to finally meet you, too.

My dentist appointment was yucky. I have a fractured crown, but at least it is their fault, so it is going to be free (ugh). Anyway, I then went shopping for stocking stuffers. I can't believe the traffic everywhere.

I always like to have something booked, and I was jazzed about these 2 SS cruises I have been trying to deal with. When I came home, Todd said that SS came thru with the 2009 we were waitlisted on and had I read my email. I came up and found out they confirmed us on 3922, and we waitlisted 3910. Then I called, and they closed at least 12 minutes early. We all know how I feel about THAT!!!! So instead of Vietnam/Japan, we are confirmed on an Alaska itinerary in the wrong category.

I have been exhausted since coming home. I went to bed last night at 8:30 but got up at 4:15. Tonight, I feel like going to bed now, and it is 7. What is up with that??

I guess after 5 trips in a row, I am just tripped out. I would never have gone on that cruise if I hadn't read some bost of yours, Beth. Another trip was not on my radar, but I liked you guys so much from your posts that I wanted to go.

In case I take a while for a review, I must say these things:

Good: Navigator has a personality. She rocks in more ways than one. That baby girl was rocking and rolling. Diane had her patch. I know Wes took something or other. We sure felt it. I was fine, though. Besides that, the ship has a personality. My first impression was that the thing looked really old. I didn't want to post this while there, but the whole face was ripped off my safe, including the keypad, and my couch had two HUGE black spots on it. Some other areas showed wear and tear. Also, the pool deck was crowded sometimes and not very big. I think it i smaller than SS Whisper or at least no bigger and over 100 more guests.

Saying this, I feel mostly like Beth who always said, "I don't see it". Beth tends to go really positive, and I tend to go negative sometimes. I really tried to not do this at all and did my best since the girls were all so positive and special. I really did have almost nothing negative to say. Yes, there was a line to embark and debark and always at the buffet, but it was always swift or mostly swift, and the service and staff were more seasoned and really special.

I liked the shows more than the CC/SS (Callen/Colleen & Stuart/Stephanie) contingent, and when the girl fell from the rocking, I thought she was super professional. Navigator doesn't know Tex/Mex, but I forgive that, too. I like the casino and some of the other nooks.

Hi Debbie, Yes, I do tend to be positive. I just enjoy being on a cruise...much better Regent than those less lux lines. In your biz, you need to be more critical and have the eye for those things you think are below par.

I just go and have fun and this was one fun cruise. :lct:

Oh Debbie you loved Navigator...sign up for segment 6 of the Discovery Collection and Todd will be happy because it will be in the Caribbean!

Here are a few of my comments - not complaints by any means:

The size difference from Voyager to Navigator is very noticeable right from the start, BUT we loved Navigator. It really did rock and roll a lot, but that was fun (thanks to Bonine working) and we got a kick out of how the ship would lean so much.

As far as waiting to board that was not real bad and I think everyone was eager to get there early due to it being such a short cruise. I am grateful Regent allows us to board at noon and not charge extra for that. It really starts your cruise off on an great positive to board so early and have lunch and kick back.

Our suite was fantastic - nothing wrong anywhere (Deb I would have called someone about your safe door right away if I were you) and the size is wonderful.

Now on to my favorite; food! All our meals were very good to excellent, but if I were going to take a long cruise (like a month or more) I would prefer more dining choices. However, having said that I feel quite confident we'd be very happy dining at CR every night because of the wonderful selections and service! ;) Portofino's was a lot of fun, but I don't think I'd want to do that more than once or twice for a longer cruise.

The daily activities were just as good as those on Voyager in my opinion (no dance classes but for such a short cruise I didn't expect it).

No egg salad for trivia, :eek: but maybe that was due to a shorter cruise???? On Voyager the daily tea snacks were truly incredible - maybe that was due to it being a crossing???

I liked the set up of the casino being on two sides of the ship even though we don't gamble I thought it was quite unique.

I missed the nice sized atrium (no atrium dance party on Navigator I guess), I missed the coffee corner (later found out it was actually inside a lounge area), I missed the many sauces and toppings for my afternoon ice cream (maybe this was a good way for me to cut back on calories). As you can see these are all very minor and it did not stop us from booking on the lovely ship. :D

We found the staff to be very gracious and friendly as on the other Regent ships. The captain was the most friendly, out and about captains that I've ever seen. He really is a great person and so cheerful.

Meeting so many great LCT friends made it priceless and I can't wait to sail with them again and meet more LCT members! :lct:

Regarding the safe, I didn't want to waste half my trip dealing with it. Also, one of my balcony chairs broke when I tried to sit in it, and it wasn't replaced.

I liked the casino on both sides, and they have as many offerings there as Voyager (though the video blackjack was not as kind to me) and more than Whisper.

Also, the lounges were quite a bit different from the other ships.

I agree that it is great we get to board at noon, and I didn't mind the line. That woman that led us on and off the ship was a delight, and I got my champagne this time and shown to my suite.

I didn't even like the menu at Portofinos, but I loved the experience and still ate plenty. They customized food for the other Diane (the model) and I, and I surely did not expect that.

Everyone did enjoy making fun of the severe leaning, and I never felt sick once. Some people did fall, though.

Regarding segment 6, I haven't even looked into what it is. I think it is about the time we are doing Whisper, and I never signed up for an onboard discount on Navigator

Ida and I really enjoyed our second cruise on the Nav...saw familiar faces like John the Sommelier (who presented us a complimentary bottle of wine at dinner), Stefano from SS, came to the Nav in January...disappointed to hear of the problems in some of your rooms; Debbie, paige and anthony had a safe problem too--just unexcusable after Dry Dock...like the Sauna being inop the whole cruise (my only complaint) except for an hour of panic when reading passages Friday afternoon, saying Saturday night is Formal (can u imagine on a 3 day cruise?) checked with concierge desk--they verified Formal was correct...checked with Susan Walsh of B/K who sent me an email that it was CC...went back insisted on speaking to HD or GRM...GRM came in about 5 min--said he would speak to the Captain...in about an hour, they made an announcemnet that the dress for all three nights was CC...whew!

The other faux paux they made besides that formal night scare was that the tour desk posted that we would only be in Nassau from 12 to 4, so people were going around the ship talking about it getting shorter and shorter and talking about changing their plans. Turns out, Passages was correct in that case.

They had 300 contractors in for Dry Dock, so you would have thought they'd have seen if a safe was ripped apart and a chair was unsafe and checked the sauna. The steam room was in great shape. I wish we had more time.

I did not get in nearly my usual hot tub time because most times, both were double stacked with people sitting in and out. I have never seen such a thing on these luxury ships.

On long cruises Portofino's used to have theme menus based on where the ship was. I hope they do that for Discovery during the almost 3 months we'll be on board.
