Having cruised on Regent 8 times and twice on Silversea, we are thinking of Oceania due to an excellent itinerary . My wife insists on a bath so that puts us into a high category, which is fine. And we pay for drinks both regular and alcoholic and tips. What other differences ? If we decided that a bath is really not a factor we could save by going to a mid-ships Veranda . How does this suite compare to Regents ?

Oceania PH's are very nicely laid out, 322sf.
Go to their website to "tour the ship" for photos.
They have 3 categories, all on deck 8 and all the exact same size. The least expensive category, preferably aft, is the best value.

We were in an aft cabin, deck 7. Category: A2(concierge)the cabin was comparable to our cabin on the Paul Gaughin. Plenty of storage etc. Very large balcony(larger than on the PG)The bathroom is much smaller, though fine for us!! When on the PG, we didn't bathe just showered.So no bath was fine with us. If a person was very large, think the bathroom might be a problem.

FYI The aft cabins (2 on each floor)which are between the Owner Suites on decks 6, 7 and 8 are not Penthouses ( size) although they do get concierge service ( butler) on decks 7 and 8.. there are no penthouse cabins aft on Oceania

Hi,
We have sailed in both Deck 7 Aft cabins -- 7121 and 7116. They are about 190 square feet NOT counting the long veranda. No bathtubs -- concierge -- but NO butler. We love those cabins, but if someone wants more space 320 square feet and a bathtub, they want a PH.

Claudia, I was referring to the PH aft cabins on deck 8, five on each side, not the A or B category balcony cabins between the owners suites.

Hi Dooley,
Those five PH cabins in the aft are a good value if the seas aren't rough. Our friends were in one of them on a recent cruise because he couldn't get a mid-ship PH. He said it was quite different than when he sailed mid-ship. He's been on over five Oceania cruises.
