All I can say is wow! We had a fantastic time. and really want to thank Denise for setting this up, Dena for picking up and chilling the champagne, Kathy for talking the photos, and Masaki for providing the nuts for all us nuts.!!! LOL Masaki, we still need to meet for that drink. I guess it will just have to be on MUSH. What a great group of people.

Claudia, Cyndi, and Tom you were all missed and wish you could have been there. Claudia and Tom we were looking forward to meeting you and Cyndi, we wish you could have seen you again, but congrats on your new car.

We really enjoyed finally meeting LeeAnne. Last May we were supposed to meet her in Italy as she disembarked her RSSC cruise and we embarked on our SS cruise in Civitavecchia, but it just didn't work out, so it was appropos that we met at an Italian restaurant today!

We had a great time with Suzanne Saturday night at the hotel and it sounds like we missed out today with the after the party, party, by having to leave for our flight. We would have loved to spend more time with Suzannne, Olivia, Marcie, Robert, and Paul.

Dena, we enjoyed seeing you again and it was great meeting Grant. We hope you have a great cruise on the PG and we are anxious to hear all about it.

We really enjoyed our time down at our end of the table, talking with Kathy, Frank, and Margo and hearing about all of their travels.

We found out that Michelle has relatives that live in the same city in Texas that we are in and hope that she and Don will come to visit.

We also enjoyed meeting Todd and talking with him about his upcoming Silver Shadow cruise in October.

I have some pictures that I took as well and will try and get them posted in the next couple of day.

Again, what a great day. We are so glad that we came. :lct:

Looks and sounds like a fun time was had by all! Wish we could have been there.

It really makes me feel so great to know that everyone had such a terrific time. The day turned out to be everything I had hoped for, and more. The only thing missing were the rest of our LCT friends - each and everyone on this board. Getting together with LCT friends, new and old, is what this is all about. It takes a lot of planning on everyone's part to make this happen. And, yesterday it did in a very wonderful way!

Time to plan the next one. Who's ready and where is it going to be?

Suzanne and I visited this morning. She left for the Bay area right about now. Good to spend some time talking. Olivia left early this morning, out of LAX, due to concern over the snowstorms in the East coast and possible flight delays.

Suzanne and Olivia, I was relieved to not hear your names mentioned at my morning GM meeting, recapping the events of the weekend at the hotel!

Denise: You sure know how to throw a party!!! We were waiting patiently for Marcie to return and report the activities to us - we realize we can't send her on a mission like this - she gets led astray!! Next time it will be a teetotaler doing the reporting - ha ha ha ha don't think there is one in the group!!!!! Joanna

Truth be known, I should probably be the designated reporter as I am usually more of a teetotaler. I really over-extended my limit yesterday. I was easily swayed by people having a good time drinking champagne!

Well for purposes of party planning, the rule of thumb is one bottle of wine for two or three people. There is no provision for LCT members in that rule of thumb. It should be revised to three bottles for every LCT Member for whoever plans the next gathering.

For MUSH, we'd better warn RSSC!

Since this thread discusses drinking....a friend told me she served these last Sat night and people really enjoyed them:

Emerils' Red Rooster drink:

1 1/2 quarts cranberry juice cocktail
1 6-oz can frozen orange juice concentrate, defrosted
2 cups vodka

Combine all ingredients in large plastic container, freeze for several hours, will not freeze but become slushy - scoop into punch glasses (or whatever) and serve - makes 2 quarts -
