That's correct. I have lots of antennas on my house connecting me to the world. I'm the vice president of the homeowner's assoc. and that helps. That helps a lot of things in home ownership.

I have an oval dish with 3 lnbs that looks at 3 sats. at once. You need that to get all the HD channels. Masaki I wonder if you could go that route. Hawaii is out in the middle of nowhere as far as sat. reception goes but you would think there are enough customers there to make it as easy to get as on the mainland.

By the way I'm going with the 60 inch Sony Rear Projection. Great TV and doesn't cost 20 grand.

Vickie that is so right... Chip I understand where you are coming from as Chuck was President of our HOA back in 1994-1997 when satellite first came out for that very reason as at that time HOA's could stop you from having the dish... we went through alot to hide ours including bulding an arbor on the back deck and surrounding it with plants... but there were other neighbors on our street who could not hide theirs and get reception and had to take it down when others objected... I know that our neighbors knew we had one but it was not visable from the street...

So you can't enjoy your Sat. TV because the little dish on your home offends my view of the sky. As VP of the HOA when I get calls like that I'm tempted to tell them to move to Cuba.

The little dishes are so unobstrusive and even before the legislation they should have been allowed but now no one can stop them...

Love our DIRECTV...

Chip, enjoy your new set...

Chip,

Are you getting the 60" Sony rear projection LCD? If so, please report back on how you like it. We are thinking about the 50" Sony LCD. Still debating between that and the Samsung DLP.

Vickie - very true ... but the HOA can make life very unpleasant in so many ways (we've already run afoul with them regarding our landscaping) that I'd much rather not deal with the issue for now. We call them the association nazis around here. :(

Chip - I'm sure it'll look great! you'll have to let us know how you like your new TV! I'm pretty sure we can't just use the 3 LNB route - I've been told by fairly reliable people that we need 3 separate dishes (maybe the spread is too big to allow for just one dish?)
