I have bad news, Sam the world's ugliest dog has been put to sleep due to a failing heart. I will miss you Sam, you gave me many laughs!!

He is really scary looking. I wonder what his personality was like?

Sad news. I bet he was a sweetie.

He was a dog from Santa Barbara and they wrote an article about him in the local paper. Supposed to be sweet. You can see his cataracts in his poor eyes.

He was a lucky dog to have a home. His breed, I think is a Chinese Crested and the sad thing is that he probably had these faults due to poor breeding from a bad breeding. The really good dog breeders won't breed with out finding out lineage and refusing to breed between relatives etc which causes these deformities etc.

Believe it or not, this is the breed of dog I have always wanted! They are so homely, they are cute!
I also love the fact that they are pretty much hairless.

Have you actually seen them at a dog show? - they really are very cute.

I think they are adorable but then I thought my Lhasa Apso was adorable. Most people thought she was a little odd looking :)

Ah - two peas - I have a Lhasa. My Gizmo is a Lhasa - a rescue. They are usually one owner dogs, but, everyone who meets Giz says they'd take him if we ever needed a new home for him (NEVER). Sam, (RIP)my first Lhasa did not let anyone touch him if he did not know them from puppyhood. Being a cairn terrier owner, I adore their spunky personality and if I were getting another dog tomorrow, I'd consider that breed first. My Daisy is pretty special to me. She is quite talkative, and yes, I do know exactly what she is telling me when she barks (frequently)

I want a labordoodle or a goldendoodle. We are trying to keep ourselves from getting one.Cats are much easier but in my opinion just not the same.I love my cat but.........
