Doug, you're correct. It does have to show up in the envelope as a choice - it just hasn't yet. I'm wondering if they've gotten rid of it in favor of the Yield, which we did see in the first episode.

Oh yeah, Myrna is in love with Phil - she's always making a comment before she gets to the check-in...and she always hugs Phil. Cracks me up!

I am not sure what happened to the fast forward, in the seasons past, there was one every leg of the game. Not only are they not mentioning the fast forward anymore but what happened to the yield?? The army dad/daughter could of used the yield to slow down the pizza boys and maybe come in ahead of them.

I watched the recorded episode last night - not as good as the previous. What I enjoyed about the Buenos Airies episode was getting a sense of the city and some Argentinean culture with the dog walking, cemetary scenes, tango, cows etc. This week they spent too much time in the airport, especially flashing the airline signs. Plus they all chose to paraglide. I like the detour idea if some are choosing different things.

I'm not rooting for anyone at this point - maybe the older "internet dating" couple.

Sorry, I guess I mixed up the 'Yield" & 'Fast Forward'... but I do believe that you have to encounter the option to be able to use it.

I have to agree with you all: re: the cousins. The one who has the hots for Phil (sorry, I really haven't focused on names) is just too funny when she gets close to the Pit Stop. And her partner (the short woman) (sorry, I just don't know the politically correct description to use), well, whatever you refer to as, she gets under my skin. Yes, life has dealt her a rather bad hand, but to use it as an excuse to indulge in -what I think to be- unsportsman like behavior is just -to me- not acceptable.
But, as they say, it can make for good television.
My vote is for the electric fence of the week!

My 2 Cents: Much too much time in airports!

Doug... who would have found the shallow walk-way to the Pit Stop.

The paragliding just seemed like it was too obvious a choice. Can't think of how anybody would have thought that taking the bicycles would be a better idea.

You are 100% correct...BUT, I would guess that the show producers thought that the fear of flying would have pushed at least a couple of players to the bikes.

I've done para-gliding (where the motor boat pulls your parachute up). Andi has actually jumped out of a plane (with a parachute I rush to add!). While I have a real problem with ever doing that, I scuba dive. Andi has a real problem with that.
So, I guess they were hoping for a split via phobia lines.

Alright, I watched the show. Now, I can comment. The cousins are just getting on my nerves. To use the doctor to get on the plane. I did have to laugh over the fence. And to make sure the one looks okay before she goes to the pit stop! The daughter and father went out in class!

A rivalry is born when one team rudely interrupts another team while they are trying to get some travel information. I would be in big trouble. The small amount on top of a canape is hard for me to handle. As much as I have tried to acquire a taste for caviar, I can't get past what it is.

Robert, we all know I am no math wiz but I think it was like 2.2 pounds of caviar. They weren't using a caviar spoon to eat it, more like a shovel :)

It was also slimier than any caviar I have seen before!

slimier is not good, but it isn't exactly dry to begin with...lol...

I think the problem was "shoveling" in those huge mouthfuls! Smaller bites seem a better way to consume caviar and like Robert, I'll take the toast points etc.!

In addition, what were they drinking as they ate - it looked red, but not red enough to be wine.

And, it seemed, that none was experienced w/ Caviar insofar as to know good from not-so-good.
It seemed like each group saw it merely as smelly fish eggs.

But - really! come on. 2.2 lbs (yes, Karen your math was spot on!) That is a very very lot! I wonder how they would have done with 2.2 lbs of..... fill in your favorite food here. Shrimp, steak, whatever.

On to the politically incorrect part of this post:

I am sorry, please forgive me...BUT when our little person did the hockey thing... did anyone else notice the change in the background music? I kept waiting to hear the lollipop league song. I cannot believe that the music choice was not planned.

I was surprised the cousins opted for the hockey, but they did well - and the "Christian dating couple" guy was a bit too sanctimonious in his refusal to drink even one shot of vodka. I would have insisted that he eat all that caviar if he wasn't willing to drink a shot! His poor girlfriend.

Better episode than last week.

Doug, you just made me lol regarding the music change during the hockey portion of the game. They are driving me nuts! I have to fast forward through them on the tape.

I know I couln't have eatten that cavier. The place they are staying out looks grand! I was sorry for the one couple to leave.

That was a little tricky at the airport for the people that were in 1st place, they headed to the phone and get on British Airlines. We have to watch them!!

This one was much better than last week show. I wished they could have shown more of the sights of Russia!! We have to remember it was winter there when they filmed the race.

You notice how the last two weeks it has been the one that has had the worst flights that got eliminated. Doesn't make for very much excitement. I had thought that maybe the caviar would know someone out; no such luck. It looks like all the challenges are meaningless when it is airport craftiness that is getting you ahead or behind.

Still no fast forward. Wonder why? I suffered watching the two girls try to choke down the caviar...and the one poor thing shaking away on the floor. That was way too much rich food. I had to smile though when each couple arrived at the finish. It was obvious with all of them which one had eaten the caviar!

In the losing couple's interview on the morning show, when asked about finishing it, the woman kind of smiled and said something like, yes, most of it. I think at that point they knew they were last and she didn't bother to eat it all.

Even though Mirna and Smirna are annoying, I have to admit that Mirna is one tough little cookie.

I find it gets a lot more interesting when Mirna and Smirna show up! They may be annoying, rude, whatever else, but I get a charge out of them. There aren't many of the teams that haven't pulled a fast one on one of the others so they're no worse! It would be dull without them. I'm still having trouble sorting out the young couples...I can't keep the two girls that had trouble with the caviar straight! But now I know that the one guy is the religious one!

Maggie, Those two are the comic relief of the show, for sure! In the upcoming epidsode preview, Mirna is being lowered into what looks like a pyramid shaft. :eek:

Masaki claims he could eat all that caviar but does admit that it was a lot. :)That caviar did look slimer than most, didn't it?

Did you guys think that the hockey players were nicer to Mirna and Schmirna/Charla? The pucks didn't seem to go as fast...
