Have reassembled front bedroom following painting extravaganza. Now, of course, we need to get a new chest of drawers. Spent three hours looking at "options" with Gary. Do you think we even found one that we both would consider? :rolleyes: Expect visitors mid-September so we've got a little time pressure on this one.

Middle & back bedrooms are now undergoing wallpaper removal & painting preparation. Main computer is disconnected. Gary's in Ebay withdrawl. I'm leaving for the weekend :D . I told the painter to wait on the wall color until I'm home Monday but fire away on ceilings. Hopefully, this gets finished up next week. Cheers, Anne

I have a silly question for Kathy or anyone who has an answer, and I know it's relative since we all live in different parts of the country. What is a good rate per hour for an interior designer? Is $80 an hour too much?

I have several Interior Designer clients. Our costs/wages are high in California, but, the prices here start at $85-$250 an hour for the ones I have worked for. About $125.00 is standard for a decent one - plus they markup their purchases 20%-30% over their price.

Anne - since it's Sunday and we have NO PLANS! I am makeup-less and hair dryer will remain unplugged today, ( it's over 100 and who wants to bother?)so no photos allowed! However, I will update the avatar this week. JoAnna - it will not be the one that Michael (mailman055) took of me in Tahiti

We're back from our jeep jamboree. My teeth are still rattling and but I think my brain has stopped sloshing around in my head. What gorgeous scenery! Loved Ouray and surrounding area.

Thanks to Karen's thread on virtual makeovers from a little while ago, I tried putting different haircolors and styles on a picture on myself. Scary does not begin to describe it. Looks like I'm a brunette for life, stick straight hair, medium length! And there are a whole lot worse things that could happen to a girl than that. Cheers, Anne

Anne - your style is a perfect fit for you - I have the same hair - stick straight and as dark as it can be. The layers make it seem otherwise. I also got an Ionic hair dryer. I'm about vto go test it out!
