I forgot to take my Chico's coupon to the outlet today. They gave me my "$25 off if you spend $100" anyway. I'm happy.

it's the same stuff ( of )..
what they had a few months before in their brochures).. if you have shopped there before you don't need the coupons, and make sure they give you the extra 5% off for the " membership card" or whatever they call it.. it's a card they give you to use all the time when they don't have the coupons ( which is stupid because they do) so if you don't have either with you ( and you are in their computer ( have shopped there before) just say oh forgot my card and my coupon.. they know.....

Yes, Joanna, it was a good day. Didn't buy all that much just enough to qualify for the coupon (I had just shopped at my regular Chico's last week to use my July $25 off coupon plus a $25 appreciation certificate they sent me...see I told you they really like me!). I did find some items I had been looking for and they were way on sale.

I just got back from the golf outing. I won a men's spa basket (really nice!) and an electrical cord roller up thingie :rolleyes: that Mark will probably like. All in all, it was a very fun day.

Yesterday afternoon, we were riding the ferry from Ocracoke to Hattress when a school of dolphin were in front of us. Everyone was thrilled to see them, about 6-7. A few minutes later, they were surfing in front of the ferry, enjoying the draft. Every few minutes, one of them would come out of the water to breathe. What a lovely show they put on. It was a breathtaking experience.

took furry friend to vet today, she was scratching herself silly ( Frontline no fleas) but just a weird allergy to shampoo ( it turns out) after 2 hours of vet fun she is feeling better..ah good girl....

Sunday we are off to Las Vegas for 3 days and then to Utah. My daughter just finished having a vacation home built outside of Zion.

We took all of our kids to Zion Ponderossa ranch for a week last summer. We didn't intend for one of them to buy an acre and a half and build a home. It is beautiful. They have a great view. However, they live in Santa Barbara which is 9 hours away. They have an 8 and 9 year old. I don't understand how they can stand the drive.

Ty drives me nuts, the way he gazes into the balcony seats with that phony look on his face!(and I don't think there are any balcony seats!) I keep waiting for him to belt out something from Cats! JD annoys me to but he makes for good drama :)

Loved Jordis last week - this week was a little shaky. I think that's the final 3 - MiG, Jordis and Marty. Are you familiar with Steve Clark from Def Leppard? Marty reminds me of him so much.

Ty is okay, but he is too theatrical (I guess both he & MiG have done the Queen show "We Will Rock You"). JD...don't get me started. You have to love Mark Burnett for always giving us someone to dislike intensely! Did you see the episode on VH1 on Sunday night? Jerel about fell off the couch laughing when JD told MiG he was "being human", spelled out with his tattoos!

I was a teensie bit considering postponing my birthday trip to Italy. They (The Stones!) are playing LA on the very night I will have my 5-0. Now that would have been a great way to celebrate. I'll have to settle for being on tour at the Vatican instead otherwise my trip to Italy could have some inclement weather. Choices!
