There is NO talking when Tony is watching LOST...if I walk in the room he'll say "Tell me later I can't talk now" ...I'll do a little teaser and say" Well I guess you don't want to hear what blah did to blah...he finds me after LOST to ask what's going on with blah and blah - I say "I cannot remember"

Thought I'd bump this up since there's a new episode tomorrow night. Let me just say - you are not going to want to miss it! Set your dvr's and vcr's now.

I have to say that I have never watched "Lost" but it is one of only 3 or 4 weekly shows our son ever watches. One of the writers graduated from Ann Arbor Huron High School in 1987. Our daughter graduated from the same school in '86 and our son in '88. The guy began "lunchbox theatre" there and he was a crazy, far-out good writer even back then.

Andrea....we caught up on episodes we missed while on Mariner over the weekend. All set for tomorrow's episode. Next week's episode sounds great too!

Has anyone purchased the Season 1 DVD set? Wondering what sort of extras might have come with the set.

Andrea, what do you know that we don't know!!! I saw the previews, Sawyer looks close to death. I hope he isn't the one who gets killed this season!!

Oh Karen...you know I love to tease, but I would never spoil it for you!

Marc, I've thought about getting the Season 1 DVD set, but just haven't yet. I just have a feeling I wouldn't watch it and then I'd feel guilty for spending the money.

Amazon still has for $36.98.

I am not an ebayer. Will probably buy some day but haven't got around to it.

Karen, don't worry about Sawyer; but the ads say someone will be "permanently lost."

Oh my, what a creepy episode! It seemed like it was over in 5 minutes. The rumors on the message boards is that Ana Luisa didn't shoot Shannon, Shannons not dead and someone else will die. If you would like to hear what Walt was saying, someone recorded it and played it backwards here. Turn up your speakers and be prepared for the chilly wills :)

Great episode! Karen, thanks for the link to what Walt said. Much easier to understand than the last time he spoke to Shannon. I never could understand what he was saying - luckily someone posted it. "Push the button, don't push the button. Bad."

Did everyone catch Jack walking by Shannon & her stepmother at the hospital?

Karen - wow, that did give me chills. Thanks! It WAS a really creepy episode and did go way too fast. I am so hooked on the show this season. I only caught a couple on the first season and I'm still trying to catch up. I guess I should get the DVD of the first season.

Andrea - you've got good eyes. I missed Jack completely. I need to start recording it so I can watch more than once. There is just too much going on at such a fast pace.

Was I the only one who had a hard time understanding Shannon when she talked last night? She seems to mumble a bit and it was driving me crazy. On a show like this you have to hear every word.

From USA Today:

Last week, a wet Walt appeared again on Lost. Before Shannon was shot, he spoke unintelligibly to her. But when Walt's words are played backwards, is he saying" "They're coming, and they're close"? Also last week, in the hospital where Shannon's dad died, you see Jack in his scrubs. Was Jack's future wife - who was in the hospital after an auto accident - the driver of the SUV that killed him?

Tonight's episode is from 9:00 to 10:05; need to make sure the TIVOs and other PVRs are setup right.

Wow! I missed that picture of Jack altogether.

Like everyone else, I'm totally hooked on this program. Only 2 more hours here until it's on and we get to find out what actually happened with Shannon. :)

Ohhh, good point Marc! I bet all that hospital activity we saw last week was related to that ONE wreck. I can't see how it all ties together, but that is another connecting thread. Good catch.

I am SO GLAD we recorded last week's episode on our DVR when we were on our cruise. I was just about jumping up and down by the end of it, it was so GOOD! - I can't wait to see tonight's episode with "what happened to those in the tail"! It makes you realize, we could be in for years and years worth of this series!

Shannon's dad IS the person who in a wreck with Jack's wife. They showed that on an episode awhile back. Remember when Jack had to choose between saving his future wife or Shannon's dad and he chose his future wife?

Editing to add, I am not watching Lost right now because I got home at 5 minutes after 9, now I have to wait for it to finish taping so I can watch from start to finish! I can't wait to see what happened to the tail enders!!

Very good episode - but the previews for next week look even better. I wouldn't want to be the one to upset Sayid...

I wasn't crazy about it. The black screen with the date got on my nerves after awhile and I still don't like Ana Lucia! I did like watching Bernard and Eko's story, though.

So, Shannon is definitely dead? I wasn't sure, but in the scenes for next week, Ana Lucia says something about, "I killed someone he loved".

I'm with you, Karen. I'm having some trouble warming up to the Ana Lucia character. Maybe they realize they've made her too unsympathetic and that's why they showed her crying by the brook?

Oooohh, I just love this show! After last week's episode, I really did not think Shannon would die. I thought that Jack would save Shannon and that Sawyer would die. Although, like Kathleen wrote, Ana Lucia definitely says something about killing someone Sayid loves in the previews for next week's episode. I don't think Eko is going to stick around either, because he is not pictured in the cast of characters on the LOST website. Ana Lucia is, but not anyone else from the other survivors. Too bad because I really like Eko's character. Maybe they will just not play predominate roles.

Last episode of the year on tonight. Here is the ABC description:

Meanwhile, the survivors lay one of their own to rest, Kate sleeplessly watches over a feverish Sawyer, and Mr. Eko has a surprise for Locke regarding the hatch. Guest starring are L. Scott Caldwell as Rose, Sam Anderson as Bernard, Frederic Lane as the marshal, Beth Broderick as Diane, Lindsey Ginter as Austen, James Horan as Wayne and J. Edward Sclafani as ticket agent.

I just love those little surprises that give you chills! I thought it was sooo creepy when "Dad?" came up on the computer screen!

I think I am rooting for Kate to pick Sawyer over Jack. Jack is a little too moody for me. I thought it was funny when Hurley pointed that out last night. For some reason, Sawyer's pessimism doesn't bother me (maybe because he is so darn cute!)

Too bad we are in for a run on repeats. Marc, do you know when the new episodes start back up?

Great ending last night! Something to keep us going through the many weeks of repeats. The next new episode will be on January 11, 2006. A brief writeup from Spoilerfix:

"Mr. Eko's upcoming flashback episode, titled "The 23rd Psalm," will shed more light on why the character took a 40-day vow of silence on the island. And producers promise more info on that stick. "It has its own flashback,"

January 11th! That's an awfully LONG wait! Oh well, just gives us more time to surf LCT on Wednesday nights!

I forgot to mention about last week's episode - I was so glad when Rose and Bernard finally reunited. Of course, I cried...

I thought it was a little hokey seeing them watch the tape with the missing segment telling you not to use the computer for communications just as Michael and Walt are communicating. Somewhere I read that there were six bunkers on the island. If Dharma warned them not to communicate with each other, I wonder if the others are from the other bunkers. Maybe they need children to continue their society or for a social experiment.

That's Anna Lucia and the other new woman (blonde) from the tail section if the plane - probably celebrating getting signed on to the show.

Andrea - I watch Prison Break - great show! but a hiatus until March??? The show has momentum and may lose some of it's base between now and then.

Lost is FINALLY back tonight!!!

First, at 8pm, a refresher show with NEW "revelations."

Quote
Discover the complete story of the grueling first 48 days on the island for the fuselage survivors and tailies after the crash of Oceanic flight 815. Since the beginning, "Lost" has mystified and intrigued viewers with its interesting characters and unique style of storytelling. Season One dealt with the fuselage survivors, the hatch and a failed attempt to get off the island. Season Two continues these stories and also introduces viewers to the survivors of the tail section. "Lost: Revelation" puts these two seasons together in a linear fashion that provides an illuminating view on one compelling story. See the sequence of the aftermath of the failed raft attempt, the opening of the hatch, how the tail section and fuselage survivors lived separately and the unwitting intersections of their lives, and how both groups ultimately collided in one catastrophic moment. "Lost: Revelation" offers new and avid viewers a fresh perspective, comprehensive and enlightening, in one of television's most intriguing series.
At 9pm, a new show with backstory on Eko and more on the virgin mary statues with the drugs.

Quote
Mr. Eko interrogates Charlie about the Virgin Mary statue, Claire begins to lose faith in Charlie when she discovers his secret, and Jack is an interested observer when Kate gives the recovering Sawyer a much-needed haircut.
Quote
This is the first chapter in Eko's backstory. The monster is back, better and badder. Eko will have his first monster experience. We will be learning more about the monster that will confirm some of the fan theories as to what the monster is, especially in one shot.
