Thanks, Fred! Capt. Knutt sounds delightful - I am still wondering what nationality he is. Last summer on the Mariner, we had a french captain whose name I can't recal right now. He celebrated his birthday on our cruise - lots of Grey Goose was flowing!

Everytime I have sailed with RSSC Knut has been the Captain. He is a charming man, will mingle with the passengers during lunch sometimes & is very gracious if you visit the bridge. And yes he is definitely Norwegian. Looking forward to meeting you & your husband on Friday. The LCT group is planning on meeting in the SOF lounge right after the lifeboat drill. This is mainly so we can finally put names with faces. Hope you & your husband will join us.

Thanks - I thought I had posted a reply about the gathering, but guess I forgot to hit the "Add reply" button. I couldn't figure out why my response wasn't showing up. We are so excited about the trip! Is is Knut or Knutt? People have replied with both spellings. Thanks to everyone for the good information shared here about lots of topics.

I am so glad you will be able to join us. I am sorry if I missed reading your reply. Remember "Ngaire's sofa" in the SOF lounge after the drill. I think someone told me when you walk into the lounge you turn left. I am sure we will somehow manage to find each other. We are intelligent people, I think - although my memory sometimes just goes with the wind. Hopefully, it is just an age thing. See you Friday. Just dug out some of my former cruise things. His place card from the captain's table is spelled Knut Hanssen.
