Have great news, bad news, good news, and better news…we had to drop off January’s Pina Colada cruise…Ida was recently hired as a counter terrorism analyst (she did this for the 20 years before she retired from the Army in 2000) for our First Army Headquarters here in Atlanta, where the (Katrina Army General), Lt. General Honore is the Commanding General…she starts in 10 days…thus, we can’t in good conscience ask For ten days off within the first four months of her new job.
The good news, is thanks to the urging of Anthony, Olivia, and Don, looked hard at SS Silver sailings, and special thanks to our stellar T/A “Dive Diva"—Susan Walsh and with her precise dive recommendations, we choose what
SS calls “Diver’s Delight:†(San Juan to Ft. Lauderdale (Dominican Republic, Grand Cayman,Coz, Belize, Jamaica).
Our super T/A got us a Vista cabin with a shared balcony—very hard to get.
The better news is this nine night cruise is the lowest per diem $242 of all 54 2006 Silver Sailings. Can’t believe the SS cruise costs less per night than the RSSC 7 night navigator cruise ($242 vs $285)
However, we will miss cruising with LCTr’s; Arlene & Gill, Dave and Laura, Mike and heather.
PS. Anthony when you call Ngaire suggest you
have her ask Susan Walsh for cabin 727, think the ship is filling up
