Karen, I'll see you on board Silversea or Seabourn. I'm with you, I just wanted it to be all inclusive, I don't need my little "gold" rewards offered. Having said that, I've always had VERY small bar bills on my Radisson cruises, it's just the social aspect of it, and the fact that every time I sign a chit/give my room number for my glass of Pinot Grigio, it brings the experience down several pegs for me. I feel as though I'm on Carnival, not a luxury liner.

The bottles in my room remain unopened - I don't want to sit in my room and drink! And I don't even usually bring them home, who needs the weight in your luggage? It's not about the alcohol, it's about the experience - feeling like a guest, as opposed to a passenger. If that makes sense.

I understand the argument about "subsidizing" drinks, however as others have said, I don't eat caviar, I don't eat shellfish, both of which are costly, but I don't feel like I'm "subsidizing" those who do. They're feeling like pampered guests. That's what it's all about.

I'm gold, and I'll always be gold.....no way will Radisson see 200 days of little old me on board.

I think Silversea and Seabourn may be laughing all the way to the bank.....
