I volunteered on CC's sister boards (in other words, not CC itself) for 15 years. They do have strict rules, but they are more strict on CC than they ever were anywhere else. They should be deleting only specific posts, not a whole thread unnless it gets totally out of hand. Anything they see as advertising or personal attacks or breaking copyrights is usually what is out. Perhaps their issue was with the Seatrade references. If there is a doubt and one was removed, you have the right to email them and ask why you were removed.

It sounds like there was some useful info there that I would have loved to read had I not been on the road.
