It was my first time in the Marquesas, and they exceeded my expectations.
I felt that the trip back from them to Bora did accentuate the fact that the PG was originally purpose-designed for the 7-day itinerary, not for long @ sea itineraries.
Of course, if you're going to be stuck at sea on a boat, life could be worse than on the PG.

PG Tip, for the benefit of those actually looking for info in the topic:

If sailing on the PG with a traveling companion with whom it may be inappropriate to share a large bed, make very sure that you have booked a cabin with two twins. These are the ones with a black dot on every printed deck plan. The PG was purpose-designed for couples :) , twin bed rooms are the minority, and the queen bed rooms *do not* convert to twins, as on most ships.
