Does anyone know if Regent plans to convert more of the tubs to walk-in showers, particularly in the standard suites, during the up-coming refurbishment? Those tubs are really hazardous, as well as being too high off the floor with two low an overhead for a 6'2" person to stand up in. We were on the Mariner for 43 days on the 2003 South America cruise, and I was forced to learn to "shower while crouching". Getting in and out of the tub was still a trial then, and I'm now older and less able to balance now, thus quite concerned.
We would very much like to go back to Buenos Aires and finish circumnavigating South America, including the Amazon, to Ft. Lauderdale in 2008, but I'm afraid we really can't afford a C penthouse without foregoing too many other things we'd like to do for too long, and our preferred F suite with shower is already taken.
