Fed-ex just arrived with my silver box on the eve of my 78th. b-day.!! We leave for Rome on Sunday and staying at de ville International thanks to CC board member cruisinsince 75.
This is the replacement cruise cancelled after a false health alarm.
The weather forecast shows the seventies and sunny as opposed to the fifties and rain on the cancelled one. So we are doubly lucky.
I will send reports via karens.
One question for my friends Dolebludger and Marc.
I prefer T-shirts when excursioning which I wear at breakfasts in the terrace. Never eat in the cabin except on departure days. RSSC never bother, but how about Silversea ? Will i have to walk the plank ?
I am looking forward to the Cinque Terre. We stay in Portovenere from 8 a.m. until 11 p.m. So after touring all of the villages I have restaurant advice from board members for a very lively evening.
We will be at Sorrento on Sat.May 7th. Having been there twice we will just enjoy the town. Ship stays until 11 p.m. so we hope to meet again with Gennaro from Sorrentolimo. He and his wife will be our guest for drinks, or even dinner if he has time.
Again, we will have a lively restaurant. Hope to dance that crazy tarrantella (or whatever it's called.)
THEE MANHOLE COVER.!! Can't miss that. 9 a.m EST is a good time for my friends and family , especially the grandkids to watch us act silly !!
Should be about 3 p.m. Italy time. i will advise Karen, while on board.
Isn't this board great ? Made so with such wonderful members. Thank you all for the advice.
