Andi, we felt the same about Thailand vs Cambodia. Loved Thailand, but I will return to Cambodia ONLY if someone pays me a great deal of $ to do so. Nothing as dramatic as your trip but just a forlorn, poor country full of very desperate people. Glad you survived your ordeal with nothing more than an enhanced appreciation of good A/C!
