We've started up the Amazon today. Right now we're sailing past an island that's the size of Switzerland, so we can actually see a shoreline. The water is very chocolately--kind of like sailing on a sea of hot chocolate. When we get further up the river past the island, the banks will be up to 30 miles apart, so it will be just like sailing on the ocean except for the chocolatey thing. We've started the pink dolphin lookout--hopefully we'll see some as we get further upriver.
Thanks for all the good wishes. One of the advantages of having an anniversary on leap day is that three out of four years we get to celebrate twice--once on 2/28 and again on 3/1. Last night we had dinner with Ray, the cruise director--always fun. I had Eggplant Parmesan--one of my favorite things. Tonight we go to Prime 7 with Olivia.
