Jim, are you taking the overnight train connecting to Thalys? If so, I would just take a taxi from Gare du Nord. On the Thalys train from Koln to Paris, they will come through the first class car asking if you need a taxi; just sign up then. Someone will be waiting for you upon arrival in Paris to direct you to your cab.
