Just back from the Diamond... we were a little disappointed, but there really weren't any special farewell activities while we were onboard. I did get pretty choked up as we were leaving Rome, however. The Voyager was docked just ahead of the Diamond. As we passed the Voyager going out of the port, what looked like most of the Voyager staff came out on deck to wave a huge banner that said "Farewell Little Sister". There was a great deal of waving and cheering (and horn blasting) between the two ships. Also, at the Silver Seas Society cocktail party, we received a special Diamond commerative pin. That was a nice touch. The captain and cruise director mentioned several times that the Diamond would be leaving RSSC. Apparently nearly all the staff (with the exception of the Captain) will be able to stay with Radisson. We loved this Captain--it's too bad there isn't any room for him with RSSC. My solution to that problem is for Radisson to build another ship and let Neil be the Captain. That would make us all happy, including him.
