We quit watching West Wing a couple of years ago when they started getting really "preachy". Don't know if it's changed, but don't want to watch it to find out. Boston Legal is one of my favorite shows, but it's getting the same way--I had to turn it off last week. I prefer my politics in the news, not as pseudoentertainment (or lack of entertainment as the case may be).
