Thank you one & all for your wonderful words, thoughts & prayers.
I was away this week in Europe on business. When I got home Thursday evening, I was greeted at the door by Maggie (& Andi, of course). A bit unsteady on her feet, but tail a-waggin'!
Andi told me that she heard the car &, for the 1st time that day, got out of bed & went downstairs to greet me.

This is so hard. This little girl has wormed her way into my heart so deeply that I cannot explain it.She was my buddy AND my roomie when Andi was in Switzerland.

Now, she won't eat. She ate yesterday before I came home, but didn't keep it down. Today, she is not interested.
We have her on fluids.

The tail still wags and the legs don't seem to work as well.
But the eyes still shine as everything else seems to be shutting down.

I'll carry her outside tonight & she'll walk to pee & then back upstairs to her bed.

She is still our Maggie, but ever so sick.

Our time with her is short, but every minute is special.

Again, I thank you all for your sweet support. It has meant a lot to Andi & me.

Doug
