There seem to be some new rules with gold points. I am trying to figure it all out but this is the nuts and bolts of it as I can tell. I may be wrong on a few details here.

If you redeem 50,000 gold points then you cannot go back later and redeem another 50,000 to make a 100,000.

After you redeem 100,000 points any additional points redeemed have to be in 100,000 increments.
Of course redeeming more than 100,000 points is not a good deal. 100,000 = $400 200,000 = $600

The points are now added directly to the person who has their name on the gold points card not split between both people in the cabin. They cannot be used for another person in the same cabin unless the card is a "household" account that has both peoples names on the card.

I still believe each person in a cabin can redeem 100,000 points for $400 each.

So now a married couple should have a "household account" to be sure of maximum value from their gold points or BOTH have a number. I have always preferred one number per couple because the points add up quicker. However, now it should be definitely be a household account to acheive maximum benefits.

This is how I am reading the materials I got today. I may have a few details wrong as it is hard to decipher. <img border="0" alt="[Hammer]" title="" src="graemlins/hammer.gif" />
