It is a beautiful hotel but it is not near downtown Lima. I don't think it would be too hard to have the hotel arrange a car/driver for the day and that would probably be the best way to see the sites in Lima. I didn't particularly like Lima but perhaps that could be that it suffers in comparison to Cusco and the Galapagos.
