If you need corrective lenses, then you want them underwater for sure. Contacts are the best option under a normal mask, but if that's not something you want to do, then a mask with corrective lenses is the next best thing.
Soft disposable contacts are great for diving/snorkeling. In the unlikely event that you get water in your eye, you can toss them to prevent any chance of an eye infection (if you don't lose them with the water).
