JoAnn; we were in Philly last December and paid a visit to an LL Bean store as we didn't have the polar fleece type articles.

My jacket is two jackets in one; an inside fleece that you snap to the outer rain jacket with a hood. It is good for weather to like 0 degrees or something like that. The gloves and hat were also polar fleece and rain resistant, I think. We only needed the heavy jackets, hat/gloves the days we were by Hubbard Glacier and Tracy Arm. The other days I only wore one of the jackets alone not together, but I am very glad I had them both!

I wore jeans every day and long sleeved cotton tops and my jacket and I was quite comfy.
