Hey All:

Sorry it has been so long since my last post. The post cruise tramatic stress syndrome hit me hard. Getiing back home after four months at sea on the wonderful Voyager was a real wake up call. Little things like having to place my own napkin in my lap, make my own bed and actually plan my meals have proved to be more than I expected. It took me two weeks to unpack and go through the mail, etc. Do they have rehap or a support group for this? Radisson is doing alot right and WC 2005 was one for the 5 star record book. I miss Marcie and Tom, Hans and the Voyager staff and crew. What a fantastic trip. But not to brag, just to let you know how lucky I consider myself that I was able to take this great excursion. I learned so much from this site before my cruise and enjoyed meeting other LCT members who came along for the ride. Please feel free to contact me if you would like my opinion of World Cruising, Radisson or just compare cruise notes.
Thanks again for your support and I look forward to chatting and cruising with you all soon. PAUL

Paul,

Thank you for posting. Welcome back to the real world. Just think, you can always go on another cruise again sometime. And for as short as a few days, evem to get a "fix" of that fresh ocean air and incredible service.

Paul, So glad to hear you are home safe and sound. I get cruise withdrawls after a one week cruise, so your WC must be a whopper. Just book another cruise and you'll feel better!!!

Paul, sorry that re-entry has been so traumatic for you. The only cure is to plan your next trip!

Paul,
I can relate oooooooooh so well with what you're saying! I still feel like I'm in slow motion. After being so "stress-free" for months, I find myself not coping too well with even small things. I guess it will take time for us to get our day to day stamina back!

I miss you so much! Where's Trivia? Where's Garreth and Felimo pouring the Sambucca? Where's all the dancing and you doing a strip tease!! Where's our special orders of Wienerschnizle? There's no one around here to gossip about! LOL

Well, as you know we're planning for the WC in 2007....you'd better be there too! Until then, please don't stay a stranger here on LCT. It's so good to read your posts!!
sending big hugs your way!

Marcie

Paul, glad to see your posting. The antidote to post World Cruise depression is spending time on LCT (until your next cruise).

Hey, I'm suffering from extreme PCTSD after only an 11 day cruise, so I can't even IMAGINE what you and Marcie & Ken and all the rest of the World Cruisers are going through!

Of course right now I'm also suffering from severe jet lag, so any emotions I'm currently feeling are surely amplified. OHHHH to have Gareth pouring me my nightly single-malt...and to get another one of those huge hugs from Felino... :mecry:

Paul, welcome home. Glad to hear from you and I look forward to a day when we can cruise together again. Marcie, I hope to meet you someday as I feel like I already know you. I can't imagine trying to get back to the real world after 4 months of seeing how "the other half" lives. 17 days of cruising took a bit of an adjustment when we got home.

Paul...I hope the real world treats you gently. There seems to be no easy way to re-enter. But planning your next cruise seems like a good suggestion.
