Welcome Mark and Lindy. We have 72 KLT guests on this sailing and only a few guarantees left on the ship. Been a long time since I have done this itinerary looking forward to the cruise.

Unfortunately, we had to cancel the Rome to Barcelona cruise due to conflicting travel plans. We just can't do them all. 😢

We arrive the night before sailing as well - from Barcelona we head down to South Africa for ELLIE!!! Fun to think about another safari when I just got back from Safari.

Our flight popped up in my calendar today. So disappointed.
Meanwhile we here in LA County are on our 3 rd night of 6 pm curfew. My brother in NY got a flier inviting him to participate in a protest march this evening with the added advice that they intend to march thru more affluent neighborhoods because “ what is theirs is ours” .
What a sad time we are living in.

I thought the world was in a mess when I posted my last entry but it has become so much worse. Feeling disappointed we missed our "fabulous cruise" seems a bit selfish but I still am sorry we're not on it at the moment! Hopefully, one day we'll get to do it. Stay safe!

Lee, so nice to see you after so many years since Penny and I so enjoyed your company on Venice-Istanbul on Voyager! To your comment about the mess the world is in: can't wait for my 23-day trip to Antarctica in February on Hurtigruten. I think it will be the perfect place to be!

My flight that was supposed to happen yesterday popped up on my calendar as well and made me sad. However, it has probably worked out for the best as Missy Cat was diagnosed with terminal lymphoma 2 weeks ago. She is home on hospice care. She hasn't eaten anything since Saturday and is very weak. She sleeps most of the time and still drinks a little water. She doesn't seem to be in any discomfort and purrs when I pet her, but I suspect it will only be for a short time more. I would have felt really terrible to have left her in such a situation.
