Helen -

Alice and I have a friend from New Hampshire who is coming along. Her name is Florie. I don't have her cabin number. She is an avid hiker and can keep track of George --- although we're not assigning that responsibility to her! Just saying she could! smiles She will fit in very well with our group.

Great, Kim! Adding Florie to our pretty sparse (but fun) roll call.
You know my responsibilities are limited to saving a table in the bar for the hikers 😜

George and Alice will probably be getting into trouble. So is Florie responsible enough to keep them in tow? That is a big order.

I think this is a grand idea - although I have experience at this but I was not very good at it. No way I could catch them.

Happy to pass the responsibilities over to someone with the physical ability to stay in yelling distance.

I think Ngaire and I will be most happy to pass off George minding duties to anyone who is up for the challenge.

Jenn & I will be joining you guys for both segments of the trip (cabin 336). We are very excited for this great adventure, and getting to know all of you!

Our friends Mark and Jodi will be joining us for the cruise portion.

Let's make some memories!

Helen, if you are staying at the JW Marriott Hotel Quito, the Hop On Hop Off bus stops across the street. I would also suggest getting a guide to take you to the Equator Museum. It is really interesting with fun science experiments.

I love a HOHO. Count Alice and me in.

What's the internet situation on the Silver Galapagos? All I can find is Andi saying they got a nice surprise and got free internet when they were on board a couple of years ago. What's the cost when you don't luck out and get it for free?

For those of you lucky Iguanas who will be doing the MP portion of the adventure, I would suggest that if you can manage while you're in Urubamba to fit in a visit to the remarkable Seminario Ceramicas, you will be well served to do so. It is only a few minutes by taxi from Sol y Luna and a truly unique ceramic studio. You will see many of their pieces installed into the tables and walls of Sol y Luna.

The ceramic pieces are unlike anything else that we saw in Peru. Be sure to look at the special pieces in the glass cases, as they are particularly gorgeous. We bought a small tray with shapes of sea life in sterling silver inlaid into the ceramic surface and regret that we did not buy more of the amazing pieces at the studio.
