Oh! Dickinson is 162 miles East
where Billings is 145 miles West
So since we have never flown out
of DIK before we will see what happens.
I am familiar with the airport. Have personally
flown into it when I use to fly and have picked
a number of people up and taken them back to fly out.
Looking at hotels with shuttle service. The airport parking
is very limited and have heard been a problem.

So far things are going well. Have hotel reservations in Dickinson going and coming back. FREE SHUTTLE service to the airport and back and FREE parking as long as we are staying at the hotel. Have been to this hotel for dinner before, but never stayed at it. Now on to trying and get a Everglade air boat tour that will pick us up at the Embassy Suites. So far no luck.

We booked ours at 0530; still, one of them, the carriage ride in Hamilton, was already (still?) waitlisted. Next time, I am going to stay up to midnight in order to get them all booked.
It is interesting that Regent provides a gap of 60 minutes from end of morning excursions until start of afternoon excursions (e.g., in Nassau and Charleston) but enforces a 75 minutes gap in order to book two excursions on same day. So, it came down to deciding which was more likely to be sold out and then hope to book the other onboard.
I guess I need to start looking at flights.

Everybody I talked to have commented that the Carriage Ride was "wait list". And so are we.
I think Tim did his late last night and is on "wait list"
Is anyone doing lunch with the astronaut? We are.
Had to call 1-877-505-5370 to do it. Told the computer
thinks it over laps the tour so a Regent rep has to put it in.

We're doing the Cape Canaveral tour and lunch with the astronaut on CANAL so we'll report back how it was.(we had the same problem with the overlap and had to call).

I just booked the Cape Canaveral tour and will call tomorrow about lunch with an astronaut. Also booked Jamestown and Yorktown for the Norfolk stop. In Bermuda, we can't decide. We've been there previously and loved it, and we're thinking about a private taxi tour and doing some wandering on our own. April 2016 can't arrive soon enough!

Marc, there were only 7 cruises listed on the email I got about the four category upgrades. All of them were on the Voyager where being in a Penthouse doesn't get you much. I'll forward the email I got to you just in case you didn't get it.
Correction: It looks like there are some Mariner cruises included in this offer, but unfortunately, PALM isn't one of them.

Also though not clearly identified when you take this offer you give up other benefits like shipboard credit and some discounts. We checked every cruise affected by the sale and adjusted the cruises that benefited our clients and sent out new invoices.

Now that "RODEO" is over I wanted to talk a little about "PALM"
As of today 10/19/15 we have 172 days, (5 months 20 days) until we board the Seven Seas Mariner.
Some have already made air & hotel arrangements and I wanted to see if anyone else has made theirs or would like to join us.
Jan & I decided to fly into Miami Wednesday April 6th and would like to do a Everglade airboat tour on Thursday the 7th.
If anyone would like to join us please let me know.
I am currently trying to find a tour company that will pick us up at our hotel but currently not having much luck.
For those of you who have not made arrangements yet here is some information for you.
Made reservations at Embassy Suites Miami International Airport.
Reason we picked this hotel because of free airport shuttle, 5:00 to 7:00 pm cocktail hour, & free full breakfast.
Seemed like it fit this group real well. LOL
If we get enough people staying at this hotel we might be able
to arrange a group transportation to the ship on the 8th. ??

Delta called today.
They are dropping Dickinson North Dakota effective 12/31/2015
so we are back to Billings Montana which is where we normally fly out of. Oh. And at no extra charge so no big deal.
Guess the Baken Oil boom current down trend has hit hard.

FYI Jan and I are arriving MIA 04/06/16 and just made reservations for a 1/2 day Miami to the MAX tour with www.miamitourcompany.com on 04/07/16 We do need to get ourselves from the Embassy Suites to Bubba Gump 401 Biscayne Blvd by 9 am. Thinking of using UBER for transportation. May need to use them again to get to the ship on the 8th unless someone has a better idea.??? Thought I would let you know in case anyone would like to join us on the tour.

There is probably a change to where the ship will dock. We arrived this morning on Azamara Journey and 2 days ago we were told that ships are now all docking where the mega ships dock because CBP has put in a new electronic customs & immigration system. No more on-board passport check and you get your bags before seeing the passport guy. No Global Entry yet.

Now that it is kids sail free; I think we should all bring a kid or two along. Of course, Arlene didn't care for my suggestion. I thought we could bring one or two of our neighbor's kids; sort of like extended babysitting.
